Halloween Party Music Playlist

Hey all!

Happy October everyone!!! To kick off the start of my FAVORITE month, I’m posting a playlist of upbeat, spooky, and sultry tunes for you all to jam out to for the next 31 days (or longer if you desire)! October is my birthday month and I am 100% that person who devotes a whole month to birthday celebrations.  Halloween is a huge holiday in my family (and has been since before I was born), and I absolutely love getting into the spirit in any way possible.  I pick out my costume months in advance, secure party and restaurant spots for birthday festivities, and map out which locations have spooky specials for drinks and treats. And I have to create a *killer* playlist, of course.

Since last year I focused on sharing my 31 nights of Halloween movies to watch, this year I’ve compiled a list of my favorite Halloween songs here to get you in a spooky mood:

  • Monster Mash  – Bobby Pickett and the Crypt-Kickers (Probably my favorite Halloween song ever tbh)
  • Werewolves of London –  Warren Zevon
  • Ghostbusters – Ray Parker Jr.
  • This Is Halloween – Danny Elfman
  • Thriller – Michael Jackson
  • Devil in a Red Dress – Kanye West
  • Time Warp – The Rocky Horror Picture Show
  • Purple People Eater – Sheb Wooley
  • Monster – Kanye West
  • Black Magic Woman – Santana
  • Sympathy for the Devil – The Rolling Stones
  • The Addams Family – Theme song
  • Bad Moon Rising – Creedence Clearwater Revival
  • Superstition – Stevie Wonder
  • Disturbia – Rihanna
  • Love Potion No 9 – The Searchers
  • Witchy Woman – The Eagles
  • Psycho Killer – Talking Heads
  • I Want Candy – Bow Wow Wow
  • I Put a Spell on You – Nina Simone
  • Teeth – Lady Gaga
  • Somebody’s Watching Me – Rockwell
  • This is Halloween – Marilyn Manson
  • Devil with a Blue Dress – Mitch Ryder and The Detroit Wheels
  • People are Strange – The Doors
  • Superstition – Santana

I hope you all enjoy these chilling tunes as you prepare for Halloween! Let me know if you have any favorite Halloween music in the comments below.
