Hello all!
This holiday season I’ve decided to share a few fun, themed looks inspired by the spirit of the season! I’ve chosen looks that everyone can partake in based off of my favorite holiday movies, iconic characters, and specific holiday elements. I explained last year that I’m half Jewish, so my family celebrates both Hanukkah and Christmas and I’ve made sure to include outfit options for both holidays. This is such a wonderful time of year to spend time with family and be creative with your fashion and makeup choices! Why not have a little fun and think outside the box!?
March of the Wooden Soldiers
Atteeeeention! This outfit has subtle drama in all the right places and is perfect for subdued seasonal dressing without looking like you were doused in glitter. I’m a huge fan of black and gray outfits for the colder months, so this is my ideal look for dressing to the winter theme without going overboard. The band jacket has just the right amount of gold trim to give it a festive air, while the over the knee boots dress the corduroy pants up. The black and gray outfit is also a great to let your makeup – such as a bold red lip – stand out!

Christmas Ornament (Christmas)
If you’re taking an approach that focuses on fully embracing the Christmas spirit, look no further than a bold makeup look combined with an iconic ugly Christmas sweater! A faux leather skirt and black tights keep your look grounded, while red boots add that perfect finishing touch. Tiny snowman earrings are a dainty complement to an otherwise bold ensemble. This outfit will bring smiles to everyone you encounter, and isn’t this season all about spreading joy and cheer?

Ice Queen
Winter means cozy faux furs, glitz, and lots of drama, so why not go all out? A dazzling dress combined with dripping jewels will make you shine like a unique snowflake. All eyes are sure to be on you dressed head to toe in metallics and winter white. I’d recommend topping off this look with a dramatic black faux fur coat that is sure to ward off the chill and will stand out strikingly against a pastel outfit.

Candlelit (Hanukkah)
For chill Hanukkah celebrations with my close family, I stick to jeans and a fun top. This tinsel-like top is perfect for holiday gatherings – it adds the right amount of holiday sparkle to an overall simple look. Dark denim blue jeans are the ideal *foil* to a standout top and quirky star and moon earrings pay homage to the 8 nights of Hanukkah. I skipped standout shoes to let the bold top shine, but added some light gold eye shadow to keep with the glowing candle theme. Chag Sameach!

Sugar Plum Fairy
Girly glam is a fun way to branch outside of your comfort zone for holiday dressing. Playing with unexpected pastel and candy colors makes you stand out from a sea of blue, red, and green, but you won’t feel inappropriate. Seeing The Nutcracker at Lincoln Center in NYC was my family tradition growing up, so I always associate that ballet with the holiday season. The tulle skirt and glittery extras remind me of the perfect winter ballet, and adding pointed flats completes the theme. A turtleneck in purple and pink keeps my warm, and I couldn’t miss out on a cute rainbow candy to tide me over until dinner!

Holiday Hair and Makeup
I complemented these festive looks with two very different hair and makeup styles. For the updo, I chose a braided ponytail that added volume and kept my look cheerful and fun! Because my hair was off my face, I played around with more striking makeup. I don’t often wear bold red lipstick, but this is the season for it! My go-to red with incredible staying power is Nars’ Starwoman. I paired the red lips with a smokey cat eye and simple skin to keep a polished vibe.
My second look was much more ethereal, so I chose to keep my hair simple with blown out waves and focus on the bright, sparkly makeup. I tried out the new Huda beauty holiday palette in Amethyst Obsessions and I am HOOKED. The sugary pastel colors pair well with winter whites and stand out against darker jewel tones. This is a such a glamorous, girly look that I love for the holiday season – it’s more unexpected but still totally seasonal!
I hope you enjoyed all of these festive themed outfits and makeup looks! Let me know if you have a favorite!
XOXO
