While social distancing continues to drag on for many of us, some locations are beginning to open up into a *cautious* kind of normalcy. During this drawn out transition from staying at home to being more in public, I wanted to highlight one of my favorite pieces to wear currently: the kimono/shawl/duster!

I’ve started to throw my patterned robes/kimonos/shawls on over a basic tee and leggings to feel more put together and take a break from constant sweatpants and workout clothes. It’s such an easy edition that elevates my outfit and honestly makes me way more cheerful! I love a good minimal-effort mood booster!

The great thing about these pieces is that they not only function as elevated lounge-wear, but are a perfect lightweight addition to add style to your look during transitional weather. As we start to go outside more often, these pieces serve as a light cover-up if it’s a bit chilly out or as sun protection if it’s hot but you want your arms and shoulders covered. It’s also such a simple item to throw on over your comfortable quarantine clothes if you head out on a social distancing walk with friends and want to look more put together!
