Valentine’s Day Outfit Inspiration

Hey all,

With Valentine’s Day just a day away, I’m sharing a few favorite options on how to style yourself for the most romantic day of the year. I’m including three looks that range from glam to super cozy, so hopefully there will be something here to match any activity you plan on doing.

I’m someone who enjoys celebrating all holidays, but I also recognize that many people have a love-hate relationship with Valentine’s Day (especially for my fellow single people). I’ve always taken this holiday as an opportunity to celebrate love in all forms – whether it takes the form of a relationship, friendship, or self-love.  Last year I had a blast hosting my first every Galentine’s Party and loved devoting a day to celebrate girl power! This year I hosted a Galentine’s Party again, but also wanted to do a post that featured a few different outfits to suit a variety of Valentine’s Day options!

My Funny, Cozy Valentine

Staying in with your girlfriends to binge watch a rom-com and drink hot cocoa? Sign me up! For those of you who enjoy a more casual, quirky style, here’s a way to pay homage to the holiday without going full blown hearts and sequins.

A cozy sweater with heart elbow patches is a fun way to pay homage to the old saying “wear your heart on your sleeve” while red nails and crimson boots tie the look together to keep it feeling festive. Simple black jeans ensure you’re comfortable lounging around watching Netflix. Throwing this look together is quick and easy!

Heartbreaker

Valentine’s Day is a great excuse for you and your significant other to get glammed up and go on a date that’s much more elaborate and romantic than your usual date nights. Take this opportunity to break out that new dress, wear your favorite jewels, and get all dolled up on a Thursday! I’m a huge fan of red statement dresses, so this bell-sleeved, lace mini dress is my ideal V-Day date night look. Paired with dangling earrings and flirty pom heels, you’re all set to go to that new restaurant or luxurious place you’ve been dying to dine at!

Galentine’s Girls Night Out

Need an excuse to go all out with your gal pals? This outfit is ideal for a GNO with a sequin skirt, leather jacket, graphic tee, and boots made for dancing the night away! The entire look has a casual, flirty vibe made with comfort in mind so you can really enjoy downtime with your favorite ladies. It’s all about girl power!

Hair and Makeup:

Valentine’s Day is a great holiday to try out a new hairstyle or play around with romantic makeup. I saw this half up braided fauxhawk look on Missy Sue’s Instagram (here’s her blog post on a similar style) and knew I had to test it out! Blo Dry Bar in Dupont obliged my creative hair ideas and I love the way it turned out!

For makeup, I went to my all-time fave Own Your Wonder and had my look done by Vasa. I wanted to play with pinks, rusts, and purples and absolutely adore the ethereal, romantic result. This is such a fun look that’s festive but not overpowering!

I hope you enjoyed these Valentine’s Day looks and that they give you inspiration, no matter what your plans this week!

XOXO
