Saturday was the perfect day to spend outside – the sun was shining and it had finally cooled down enough to wear my favorite pair of jeans!
The Smithsonian National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute is free and open to the public! It’s a great place to go alone or with friends; for eating at the many cafes and snack booths or for going on a run. This Zoo is truly beautiful, and the animals are incredibly well treated and live in spaces as close to their natural habitats as possible.
So what do you wear while trekking around the zoo? Sturdy, comfy boots like these black combats I’ve had for years, jeans to keep warm, a fun top of your choice (I’m a sucker for velvet), and a cute animal-themed extra to add just the right amount of humor to your outfit… 😉
