DC Restaurant Week: Morrison Clark Inn

This past Thursday I went to my second dinner for DC’s Restaurant Week. The Morrison Clark Inn Is a beautiful historic site that makes you feel like you’ve entered into a different time! The decor perfectly fuses modern and vintage vibes for a beautiful experience.

For their Restaurant Week menu, I chose the:

Chilled Nectarine Bisque

Summer Vegetable Gnocchi

Key Lime Pie

While everything was amazing, the summer gnocchi was OUTSTANDING. The mixture of flavors and texture was exquisite, with a dollop of truffle cream topping off the dish. I will be back for this gnocchi ASAP.

But if you’re more adventurous, the nectarine bisque with assorted sweet fruits and lavender maple yogurt will definitely take your taste buds on a trip! I had never tasted anything like it before and was so glad I branched out of my comfort zone in ordering it.

And now for the outfit:

(Top: Anne Taylor/ Skirt: Halogen/ Shoes: BP)

Since it was a humid, sticky night after work, I kept things cool with a breezy skirt I snagged at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this past July. A black camisole and metallic heels kept me simple but chic for dinner.

Be prepared for more Restaurant Week shenanigans! Stay tuned!

xoxo
