I happened to move to DC just as Restaurant Week kicked off from August 14-20! I made a few reservations to test out some of the different popular restaurants in the area, because what's a better way to experience a new location than through local food?!
The great part about Restaurant Week is that all dinners are $35 and all lunches and brunches are capped at $22. No matter how expensive the restaurant might be normally, during this week they're incredibly affordable! At some places an entree might be $22, but this week you can get a full three- to four- course meal for that price!!!
To kick off restaurant week, I made a stop at Circa, which I had heard rave reviews about beforehand. What better time than Restaurant Week to try it out?
They have a ton of locations throughout DC, so convenience hopefully won't be an issue when it comes to getting here for a meal.
They do take reservations and have a preset menu, pictured below:
My picks (at the spot-on recommendation of my waiter) were:
Brussels and Blue
Pasta Primavera
Brioche Bread Pudding
All were absolutely delicious options! However, I must say that the fried brussel sprouts with a balsamic glaze and crumbled blue cheese were the standout dish. It was soooooo incredibly good!!!
I'll keep you all updated as I explore more locations during Restaurant Week. Be sure to follow @RAMWdc and the #RAMW hashtags on social media for more great meal finds!
