Murder, She Wrote…

Hello all!

I hope everyone is getting excited and prepared for the holidays! I’m embracing the cooler weather by donning my favorite all-black outfits.

Top: Do + Be

Jeans: Levi’s

Shoes: Blondo

Sunglasses: SALT

Purse: BP @ Nordstrom

Wearing all black always makes me feel like I can take on the world. Like some badass superheroine! And I always love the challenge of playing with designs and textures to add interest to a dark ensemble. It gives me the freedom to play around with some dope extras that I wouldn’t feel comfortable pulling off in a brighter color. (i.e. A laced corset sweatshirt with bell sleeves.)

If you’re looking for something fun to do on the weekend, look no further than the Renwick Gallery in the center of DC.

This gallery ALWAYS has the best exhibits! I discovered it last summer and they have yet to disappoint.

“Murder is her Hobby” focuses on the fascinating career of Frances Glessner Lee. She recreated miniature crime scenes of unsolved cases to train police officers. If you’re as big a fan of murder mysteries as I am (shoutout Criminal Minds) this is THE exhibit to go to this fall!

Here are some of my favorite rooms. I won’t give away the stories behind them- you’ll just have to find out for yourself:

I hope everyone in the DC area gets to see it – it’s only open for another two months.

Let me know your thoughts on this exhibit if you get the chance to see it! And if you have any favorite all-black looks!

xoxo

Parisa
