I honestly can’t believe we’re already more than halfway through 2023 – time certainly is flying by!

As we approach mid-summer, I have weddings on my mind – I’m already scheduled for two different weddings this summer and fall, but have so many friends attending different wedding or engagement events over the next few months. I thought now would be a great time to round up some of my favorite wedding dress styles I’ve been seeing this season – some of which I already own and plan to wear!

My go-to wedding dress style is to always dress to the theme of the event. Is it springtime at a country club? Give me pastels! Is it in a rustic location or farmhouse? Give me florals! Is it in the heat of the summer or in the city? Give me brights and neons! Is it scheduled for later in the fall? Give me jewel tones, metallics, and sheer detailing!

I also always am willing to invest in unique dresses if the wedding is for a close family member or friend – I totally get it if you want to rent or re-wear something to a distant cousin’s nuptials who you haven’t seen since 2015, but I do love an excuse to get dressed up and curate stunning pieces in my closet (without breaking the bank) for my loved ones.

That being said, whenever I want to wear something bolder or more out-of-the-box to a wedding, I ALWAYS run it by the bride first. Unsure if a dress is too short or the pattern too loud? Just shoot the bride a photo and ask! Worse comes to worse you can always wear it to the next event, but then you know you’ve covered your bases on approval. After all, it’s their party and you’re a guest that gets to celebrate with them!
