Fall and Winter Wedding Dresses

Hello all!

I don’t know about you all, but it seems like wedding season is in full swing and has definitely gotten even bigger thanks to covid delays. I attended one of my best friends weddings this past weekend and had such a blast! It was so much fun to get back to celebrations and honoring life’s joys!

While this is my only wedding for the year, I know many of my friends and family have a few weddings on their agendas for the rest of fall and into winter. I wanted to share a few of my personal favorite picks for fun wedding guest looks that play into fall and winter tones, provide extra warmth, and incorporate some holiday sparkle in a tasteful way.

I’ve found a few different outfits and accompanying accessories that I think would make fabulous wedding guest looks all fall and winter long! They make a statement without upstaging the bride but aren’t generic looking so you can still feel festive and unique. I hope this helps if you’re searching for things to wear during a season of many weddings!

Dresses and Jumpsuits

My exact dress – this elegant bow maxi via Hutch from Anthropologie – was absolutely perfect for a fall wedding! It stayed up all night (a feat for any strapless dress) and had huge POCKETS that allowed me to carry my phone around and get fun videos of everyone dancing. I loved that the neutral black and copper colors let the statement bow structure really shine without being overwhelming. I’ve definitely found that sticking with my go-to colors to feel confident and a dress that provides me with the security of pockets is a personal must at any wedding.

Hutch Colorblocked Bow-Tie Maxi ($218) // Pink Sleeveless Maxi Romper ($328) // Anthro Satin Bow-Tie Jumpsuit ($180) // Silver Saydee Metallic Long Sleeve Minidress ($275) // Black Lace Maxi Romper ($398) // Aqua Long Sleeve Sequin Top & Mini Skirt ($62 each) // Off the Shoulder Beaded Chiffon Midi Dress ($398) // Zara Silver Ruffled Mini Dress ($50) // Red Bow-Front Slip Midi ($180) // Aidan Mattox Black Off-the-Shoulder Dress ($295) // Eliza J Blue Ruffle Front Gown ($188) // Aqua Rainbow Sequin Puff Sleeve Dress ($148) // Burgundy High/Low Cocktail Dress ($208) // Aqua Strapless Braided Trim Dress ($248)

Accessories

Another wedding *must* of mine is to have danceable shoes! I need to be able to boogie down on the dance floor for hours to my favorite songs!

I actually took a risk wearing these velvet heels for the first time ever to this wedding – but I’m pleased to say they held up and I didn’t take them off all night – even four hours of dancing later! Comfortable, cute heels and a glam purse or clutch that holds all the necessities ensures a seamless, carefree night full of celebrating all of the festivities worry-free.

Dillard’s Antonio Melani x Nicola Bathie Lila Velvet Bow Platform Sandals ($130) // Rainbow Sparkle Pouchette ($395) // Sarah Flint Mirjana Headband ($175) // Sarah Flint Perfect Pump 85 in Black Filigree Suede ($525) // Zara Golden Boots ($300) // Zara Black Metallic Crossbody Bag ($50) // ASOS True Decadence clutch in ruched satin ($35) // Sarah Flint Natalie flat in Black Filigree Suede ($425)

If you have any weddings or fun events lined up for this holiday season, I hope this post gives you lots of style inspiration to look and feel your best!

XOXO
