Happy End of May!

Whew – it has been a minute since I’ve been able to write and post to the blog, but I’m excited to get it back up and running to share more about my passions and favorite things!

To kick it off, I want to share a post that I’ve been thinking about writing for a while focused on one of my favorite additions to any outfit: BOWS!

Growing up, I was definitely more of a tomboy and then grew into a more goth/grunge aesthetic in my teenage and college years. I always liked the look of bows on other people, but never really wanted to try them out on myself. Eventually, I started wearing more headbands and jewelry with tiny bow details on them, and over the past few years have gravitated towards the more extreme bows that help create a statement dress, top, or handbag. I absolutely love how bows elevate a piece and add a touch of whimsy to an outfit. As an adult who has just started embracing bows, they never feel juvenile or childish, but rather elegant and whimsical.

That being said, I’m excited for my May Obsessions post to focus on bows! I’ve found some pieces that I already own or have worn previously that are still available to rent or buy, as well as some new items that I have my eye on.
